Quantitative Backend Developer (f/m/d) – Private Capital Analytics Platform

Your mission As a Quantitative Backend Developer (f/m/d), you will build analytics APIs and backend services for our Analytics products. You will combine quantitative methods with modern software engineering and ensure that analytical solutions are scalable, high-performing, and production-ready. Your Tasks: Analytics Engineering & Implementation • Design, develop, and enhance analytics APIs and backend services for our Analytics products • Transform quantitative models, research outcomes, and prototypes into production-ready Python code • Further develop our analytics production and data processing environment • Build robust and scalable software components for analytical calculations • Collaborate closely with Quantitative Specialists to operationalize new models and methodologies Data Management & System Integration • Develop and maintain interfaces to databases, internal platforms, and downstream systems • Process, transform, and make financial, fund, and portfolio data available • Analyze and optimize data flows and analytics processes • Ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable execution of analytical calculations Operations & Quality Assurance • Ensure the ongoing quality assurance of quantitative model outputs for internal and external stakeholders • Support the onboarding of new clients in relation to our analytics products and models • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues in production environments • Create and maintain technical documentation Collaboration & Communication • Collaborate with Quantitative Specialists, Product Managers, Engineering, and Operations teams • Translate business and quantitative requirements into technical solutions • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical concepts • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and development approaches Your profile How You Work • You enjoy building robust technical solutions for complex analytical challenges • You think in terms of data flows, interfaces, and interconnected systems • You value maintainable and high-quality code • You are curious about agentic development or already have initial experience integrating AI-supported development approaches into software development processes • You work in a structured, independent, and pragmatic way • You take ownership and proactively drive topics forward • You enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams and communicating transparently • You are motivated by transforming analytical ideas into production-ready applications Your Qualifications • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Data Science, or comparable discipline • Initial professional experience in backend, API, or data-driven software development • Strong Python programming skills • Experience developing APIs and backend systems • Experience working with databases and data processing systems • Basic understanding of mathematical and statistical models • Knowledge of software quality, testing, and version control • Experience with financial data or private capital is a plus Languages • Very good English skills (working language) • German is a plus Our offer • Exciting challenges and excellent development opportunities in a constantly growing, international team • Freedom to develop own ideas and thus make an active contribution to the success of our company • Attractive remuneration with variable components as part of a total compensation system • Great colleagues, a friendly working atmosphere and numerous employee events • Modern workplace in the heart of Munich with view of the Theresienwiese • Modern employee benefits - bike leasing, meal vouchers, BAV, Deutschlandticket, benefits account & Wellpass Fitness • Hybrid working model  • Free drinks and fruit as well as a well-filled ice box in summer Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
