Where are the jobs for foreigners in Europe? 16 countries, 45,636 live listings

“Which European country is easiest for a foreigner to find a job in?” is asked a thousand times a month and answered with opinions. This page answers the part of it that can be counted. We track 45,636 open jobs across 16 countries, pulled from employers’ own career pages and official job feeds and re-checked daily, and we read four things out of every ad: whether it is written in English, whether it demands years of experience, whether it mentions visa sponsorship, and where it is. United Kingdom has the highest share of ads in English at 93 %; Sweden the lowest at 3.0 %. Germany has by far the most listings (18,100), and Germany the highest junior-friendly share (40 %). What this measures, and what it does not

An ad written in English is the most reliable signal that a team works in English, and that a foreigner without the local language can apply. It is not the same as a company being willing to sponsor a visa: for that, the visa column counts ads that say so explicitly, and most employers who would sponsor never mention it. Junior-friendly means no years of experience demanded in the ad; it says nothing about how many people apply. The totals reflect what we track, and we track Germany, Norway and Sweden through their public job feeds and other countries mainly through company career pages, so a small country with a low total is under-counted rather than empty. Compare shares, not totals. The listings-per-million column divides our count by the population on 1 January 2024 and is offered as context, not as a measure of the labour market. Everything is recomputed nightly; this page shows 24 September 2026. How we verify jobs explains the pipeline.
