Job Description & Summary Join PwC’s Advanced Technology Solutions team as a Senior Cloud Ops Engineer (m/f) and help shape secure, scalable cloud environments for leading global clients and internal business teams. This role is ideal for experienced cloud and DevOps engineers who enjoy understanding how real-world environments are built, identifying what needs to change, and helping teams move toward more secure, standardized managed cloud setups. We are looking for candidates with strong Azure experience, solid AWS knowledge, and working exposure to GCP , who can assess infrastructure at tenant and subscription level, understand different deployment patterns, and turn technical findings into practical recommendations for both engineering and business stakeholders across Western Europe and the USA. We expect candidates to actively use AI tools to boost productivity, improve problem-solving, and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions responsibly The Role: You will work on cloud transformation initiatives focused on reviewing existing environments and preparing them for transition into managed offerings. The work involves analyzing how environments are currently structured, evaluating deployed services and controls, identifying gaps against governance and security standards, and helping define the right redeployment or migration path. These environments are often built in different ways depending on business needs, so this role suits someone who can quickly understand non-standard setups, infrastructure-as-code patterns, and developer-led deployments, while working closely with tenant owners, project teams, and US-based stakeholders. What you will do: • Review and assess existing cloud environments across Azure , AWS , and to a lesser extent GCP • Work directly with tenant owners and project teams to understand how environments are structured, managed, and used • Evaluate deployed services, infrastructure patterns, subscriptions, accounts, projects, and security controls • Identify non-standard or non-compliant configurations and propose aligned alternatives • Assess readiness for migration, redeployment, or transition into managed cloud offerings • Help define redeployment strategies while preserving required functionality and business needs • Analyze environments managed through different approaches, including Terraform , CDK , and other infrastructure-as-code methods • Use scripting or development skills such as Python or TypeScript where relevant • Communicate technical findings clearly to both engineering teams and business stakeholders What we are looking for: • Strong hands-on experience with Azure and AWS • Functional working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Strong understanding of cloud governance , security principles , and cloud environment assessment • Experience reviewing cloud environments at tenant / subscription / account / project level • Ability to assess how infrastructure is built, managed, and deployed, including non-standard or customized environments • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and cloud automation approaches such as Terraform or CDK • Scripting or development capability in Python , TypeScript , or similar • Ability to work directly with stakeholders and explain technical topics in a clear, practical way • Good written and spoken English Why this role: This is an opportunity for engineers who enjoy hands-on cloud work but also want to operate at the intersection of engineering, cloud governance, stakeholder communication, and migration planning.
